24 hours party place

December 24th, 2007

I was walking to work this morning at about 7:20 AM. As I was passing by this place, I realized that the club was still going with music blasting from the inside and the grim bouncer sitting on a stool in the morning sun. This is the first time I have seen a club still open (already open?) on a Monday morning in US or elsewhere. Party on, people!

What made the sight extra endearing is that the bouncer was all bundled up in a heavy coat and one of those cold weather face masks to help him cope with the mean 40 degrees winter nights in San Francisco…

PS. I briefly scanned through the club’s schedule for the NYE and it looks like they’re not going to close for about 72 hours or so…

How the rest of the world sees US

December 19th, 2007

Note the lil’ flag by the rearside mirror, just in case the front bumber sticker wasn’t enough. I wonder if the Christmas ornament is hiding a missile launcher.

My puppy ate her poo and my SSN was stolen!

December 11th, 2007

What an evening I am having! First I got a letter from my Blood bank telling me that they had a laptop stolen that contained their donors’ names, blood types, and social security numbers! Baaah! So much for giving away pint after pint of my blood for the good of the society.

Later on in the night, after a day full of watching Sonya and taking her outside repeatedly, the beast outwitted me by running off into the dark corner of the stairs, pooping, and immediately consuming the entire poo session. I reacted within 30 seconds of the pooping process which was already too late and my finger down her throat returned nothing but stink. A panicked call to my husband comforted me; according to B, this is just a second chance at digestion for a puppy :-)

Life goes on.
